Cookies notice

Effective October 9, 2026

This notice explains the cookies and similar storage the Cadant service uses, and how you can control them. It adds to our Privacy Policy.

This website

The pages you are reading now, on cadant.app, set no cookies and run no analytics. Everything below is about the Cadant app, where you sign in and do your work.

What the app uses

Strictly necessary cookies are always on, because the app cannot work without them. Browser analytics are off by default and only run after you allow them.

Strictly necessary

  • Sign-in cookies. Our authentication provider, Supabase, sets these when you sign in. They keep you signed in and refresh your session securely. If you block them, you cannot sign in.

Product analytics (only with your consent)

  • PostHog. If you allow analytics in the web app, we use PostHog to see how features are used so we can improve them. This can include events, session details and an identifier tied to your account. PostHog stores its own identifier in a cookie and in local storage. It starts switched off and records nothing until you say yes. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Error monitoring

  • Sentry. When something breaks, Sentry sends us an error report so we can fix it. It does not send your IP address or request headers. We only attach your account to an error report if you have allowed analytics.

Local storage

  • The web app uses your browser’s local storage to remember preferences on your device, such as your calendar view, whether the sidebar is collapsed, and your cookie choice.

The iPhone app

The iPhone app does not use browser cookies and contains no analytics SDK. It keeps your sign-in in your device’s Keychain, and signing out removes it. The feature usage our servers log is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Your choices

The first time you open the web app, a banner asks whether to allow analytics. Choose Accept or Decline. To change your mind later, go to Settings → Cookies in the web app. Declining or withdrawing takes effect at once and stops analytics.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you will not be able to sign in.

Do Not Track

We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there is no common standard for them. Browser analytics stay off unless you allow them, and you can withdraw that choice at any time.

Changes

If we add or remove a type of cookie or storage, we will update this notice and the effective date above.
