Delete your account and data
Effective October 9, 2026
You can delete your Cadant account at any time, from the app or by email. This page explains how, what happens next, and the little we have to keep.
Delete in the app
- On iPhone, tap your profile picture, then Settings → Account → Delete account. If your trial has ended, Delete account is also on the subscription screen.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete account.
On the web, go to Settings → Account → Delete account and follow the same steps.
You do not need your password to delete your account. Before you delete it, you can save a copy of your data with Settings → Account → Download your data.
Delete by email
If you cannot use the app, email privacy@cadant.app from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. Sending it from that address lets us confirm the account is yours. If you write from another address, we will ask you to prove you own the account first. We reply to confirm, then delete the account within 30 days.
What happens when you delete
- Your account is removed at once. You are signed out everywhere, and your deals, invoices, clients, notes, files and profile are deleted from the app.
- Any subscription you bought on the web is cancelled.
- Copies in our backups are deleted on a rolling basis within 30 days.
Apple subscriptions are cancelled separately
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought through the App Store. Apple bills it, so only Apple can cancel it. On your iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or open your Apple subscriptions, and cancel Cadant there.
What we keep, and why
- Invoice records. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of invoices and payments. We keep a copy of your invoice records with your name, address, email and other identifying details removed.
- Payment records at Stripe. Stripe processes card payments and web subscriptions. It keeps its own records of those payments, under its own legal duties and privacy policy.
- App Store purchases. Apple keeps its own records of purchases made through the App Store.
