Terms of Use
Effective October 9, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Chief Labs LLC, which operates Cadant. They cover the Cadant app, the website at https://cadant.app and the services we provide through them (together, the “Service”).
Agreement and eligibility
Cadant is operated by Chief Labs LLC, 201 17th Street South, St Petersburg, FL 33712, United States (“we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you use the Service for a business, you accept these Terms on its behalf and confirm that you have authority to do so.
What Cadant is
Cadant is a business tool for UGC creators. It helps you run the business side of your work: deals and packages, invoicing and card payments, money and stats, a calendar, clients, expenses, receipts and tax estimates, notes, and a Help chat with our team.
Cadant is not a marketplace, an agency or a talent agent. We do not find brand deals for you, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a brand or client. You are responsible for your deals, the work you deliver and the terms you agree with your clients.
Figures the Service shows you, such as earnings, outstanding amounts and tax estimates, are calculated from the information you enter. They are for your information only and are not tax, accounting or financial advice.
Your account
You must give accurate information when you create your account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at once at support@cadant.app if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
Subscriptions and billing
Most of the Service requires a paid subscription. We offer two auto-renewing plans:
- Monthly: $9.99 USD per month.
- Annual: $99.99 USD per year.
These are the US prices in the App Store. Prices in other countries and currencies may differ, and the App Store shows you the price that applies to you before you buy.
Subscriptions bought in the App Store
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same length and price, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Free trial
When you create an account and confirm your email, we give you a 7-day free trial. You do not need to give payment details to start it, and you are not charged when it ends. When the trial ends, you cannot use the paid features until you subscribe. Your data stays in your account. We may limit the free trial to one per person, for example by checking the email address and device.
Subscriptions bought on the web
Subscriptions bought on our website are processed by Stripe and charged at the prices shown at checkout. They renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel from the billing settings in your account on the web. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then.
Price changes
We may change our prices for future periods. We will tell you before a price change applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does. For App Store subscriptions, Apple also notifies you and, where required, asks for your consent.
Refunds
There is a standard 14-day refund window from the date of purchase. Ask through Help within 14 days of your purchase and we will start it. Subscriptions bought through the iOS App Store are refunded by Apple, not by us. Outside that window, and except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
To ask Apple for a refund, use Apple’s refund request page. Apple decides App Store refunds under its own policies.
Payments you collect
If you use Cadant to send invoices and accept card payments from your clients, those payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe Connect. To accept them, you must set up a Stripe account and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe, not Cadant, holds and moves the money.
Cadant does not take a fee on the payments you collect. Stripe charges its own processing fees under its agreement with you.
Cadant is not a bank, a payment processor or a money transmitter, and we are not the merchant of record for payments your clients make to you. You are the seller. You are responsible for the work you invoice, for refunds and disputes with your clients, and for any taxes on what you earn.
Third-party services
The Service relies on other companies. When you use their part of it, their terms also apply:
- Stripe processes web subscriptions and the card payments you collect, as described above.
- Apple processes in-app purchases. The App Store’s terms apply to them.
We are not responsible for third-party services, and your relationship with each of them is governed by its own terms.
Your content
You own the content you put into the Service, such as your deals, invoices, clients, notes, receipts and messages (“your content”). You give us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run the Service for you, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain for a limited time in backups.
You confirm that you have the right to upload your content and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights, including any confidentiality obligation you owe to a client.
Content standards and reporting
Some parts of the Service let you send content that other people read, such as messages you send our team in Help chat, feedback you submit, and invoices and emails you send to your clients. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Objectionable content includes content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent or unlawful. Our Community Guidelines set out the full rules and form part of these Terms.
- You can report objectionable content or an abusive user in Help chat in the app, or by emailing support@cadant.app.
- Cadant does not let users message each other, so there is no one to block. If we add a way for users to contact each other, we will add Report and Block actions to it.
- We review every report and remove objectionable content within 24 hours of receiving it.
- We terminate the accounts of users who post objectionable content or abuse others, and we may report serious cases to the authorities.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any law or anyone else’s rights while using the Service;
- upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harassing;
- upload malicious code, or try to break, overload or get around the Service’s security;
- copy, reverse engineer or decompile the Service, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
- access the Service by automated means, resell or sublicense it, or use it to build a competing product;
- use the Service to send spam or to defraud or mislead anyone, including your clients;
- use another person’s account, or impersonate any person or business.
Automated and AI-assisted output
Some features may produce output automatically or with the help of AI, for example reading the rows from a screenshot or receipt you upload. That output is for your information only. It may be wrong or incomplete, and you must check it before you rely on it. It is not legal, tax or financial advice. Cadant is not a law firm, an accountant or a financial adviser, and using the Service does not create any professional relationship with us.
Our intellectual property and feedback
The Service, including its software, design, text and the Cadant name and logo, belongs to Chief Labs LLC or its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Service for your own business. We keep all rights we do not expressly give you.
If you send us ideas or feedback about the Service, we may use them for any purpose without paying you or owing you anything. This does not give us ownership of your content.
Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app’s settings. See Data deletion for what is deleted and when. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or the Community Guidelines, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will continue, including those on your content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any figure, estimate or output it shows is accurate or complete.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be waived or limited by contract.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Chief Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) 100 US dollars.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Chief Labs LLC and its officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your dealings with your clients or your breach of these Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved only in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Apple App Store terms
This section applies if you downloaded the Cadant app from the Apple App Store. If it conflicts with anything else in these Terms, this section applies.
- Parties. These Terms are between you and Chief Labs LLC only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Chief Labs LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Cadant app and its content.
- Scope of license. Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Maintenance and support. We alone are responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation at all to provide maintenance or support for it.
- Warranty. We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) of the app to you. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind for the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent not disclaimed.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that the US Government has designated as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Questions and complaints. Send any questions, complaints or claims about the app to us, using the details under Contact.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app, for example your wireless data service agreement.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) also applies to your use of the app, to the extent these Terms do not cover something.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
